About the Position
We are looking to welcome a Specialist Domestic and Family Violence Practitioner to provide specialist domestic and family violence advice and assistance to colleagues and people contacting the service.
- Full time position .
- Government funded until 31 December 2026 with possible extension.
- Level 5 SCHCADS Award. Salary range: $100,784 – $105,350 (pro-rata) + Superannuation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support team members to screen for domestic and family violence, where required.
- Complete assessments at key points throughout a family’s engagement with IFS.
- Participate in client case consultations, making recommendations about risk and safety implications.
- Provide team members and enquirers with advice on safe engagement strategies for families affected by DFV.

About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Allied Health, Human Services or Social Work.
- At least five (5) years working with children and families, with at least 3 years in a domestic and family violence capacity (generalist role, women’s service, behaviour change programs, therapeutic interventions).
- Experience and knowledge of domestic and family violence issues including theory, dynamics and the impact on children and families.
- Willingness to incorporate the Safe and Together framework into your practice approach.
Other Requirements
- Eligibility for a WWCC or professional exemption.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Legal ability to work in Australia (proof of eligibility required).
