The demand for our services has continued to grow substantially and due to our new funding arrangements we are looking to broaden our impact by expanding our Women's Advocate team. We are looking for passionate Domestic Violence Specialists to make a profound difference in the lives of those impacted by domestic violence.
Who should apply?
We will consider applications from both emerging and experienced practitioners (4 years minimum as specialist Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) Worker) to work with women to deliver an individualised response to domestic violence risk, safety and well-being.

About the role
A Women's Advocate will support women who have experienced domestic and family violence by assessing risk and providing individualised responses including crisis support, safety planning, case management, information, psychosocial education, advocacy and referrals.
This is a full-time (36.25hrs/week) role. 1 Year fixed term contract

Salary
Emergent: SCHADS Award SACS Level 4
Experienced (min 4 years specialist DV practitioner experience): SCHADS Award SACS Level 5
The pay point will be determined by the successful applicant's experience and qualifications.
A 1 year fixed term contract will be offered.

The Domestic Violence Prevention Centre (DVPC) is a specialist service which supports women, children and young people who have experienced domestic and family violence. We also deliver the Men's DV Education and Intervention program and convene an Integrated Response group that works with agencies on the Gold Coast to improve collaboration and responses to victim survivors of domestic and family violence to enhance their safety and wellbeing.
