Kaliba are partnering with a Sydney based IT service provider on their search for a Senior Systems Engineer to provide L3 support across server, network, and end-user environments. This is a client-facing role that combines remote and onsite technical support with project collaboration and mentoring of junior staff.

Core Responsibilities

Manage and resolve a high volume of support tickets via phone and CRM.

Deliver remote and onsite support across servers, workstations, and networks, ensuring SLA adherence.

Provide technical guidance directly to clients and coordinate with third-party vendors.

Escalate complex issues and mentor junior technicians.

Maintain documentation and knowledgebase entries.

Participate in rotating shift schedules and after-hours support.

Ensure all work complies with internal standards and ISO frameworks.

Essential Skills & Experience

Certifications/Qualifications (one or more preferred):

CCNA / CCNP / ACA-Switch

Fortinet Certified Professional

MCSE / MCSA

VCP / VMCE

Technical Expertise:

Strong support experience with Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Teams, Azure, Intune, and Exchange.

Solid experience with Windows Server roles (AD, DNS, Group Policy).

Hands-on with virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and storage environments.

Proficient in core networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, routing, firewalls, wireless).

Sound knowledge of IT security, endpoint protection, MFA, and threat management.

Desirable (Not Essential)

Exposure to VoIP/UC platforms and SAN technologies.

Prior experience in MSP or professional services environments.
