About The Role
The right candidate will be well versed in all aspects of industrial corrosion protection, carry out blast and DFT inspections, quality documents, experience in a workshop environment and understand multiple coating systems and implement to a high-quality standard, with a minimum NACE 2 qualification. Please note this is a factory based position.
Reporting to the Production Manager, your day will consist of the following:
Hands on role conducting visual inspections, surface profile tests and daily required testing.
Be the primary interface between customer service and production staff to ensure customer needs are met
Perform visual inspections of customer jobs, materials, products and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Conduct daily tests to verify integrity.
Collaborate with sales / production teams to understand job expectations.
Receive shipments of both customer and supplier deliveries. Examine deliveries to ensure they are accurate quality, quantity and specifications.
Advise the production manager of any issues that potentially impact production starting or continuing.
Keep accurate and complete records in the job folders which is essential to the quality system.
Follow established guidelines, instructions, policies and procedures, and maintain current quality compliance.
Act as the point of contact between external engineers and external QA inspectors.
What we are looking for
Minimum of 3+ year’s experience in Quality Assurance in the industrial corrosion industry is a must.
NACE Level 2 certified a must
Ability to understand technical specifications of materials and equipment.
Excellent communication and customer skills and the ability to work with different teams within the company.
Must have reliable transportation.
Keen interest in quality assurance and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment and meet deadlines.
Proficient in MS Word & Excel.
