About the Role

We’re on the lookout for a hands-on, reliable Production Assistant with some knife skills to join our food manufacturing team. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role in a production kitchen—not a restaurant. You'll be helping us prepare large volumes of vegetables and ingredients that go into our pickled, fermented, and preserved products.

If you’ve worked in a kitchen or food production environment and enjoy physical work with clear processes, this could be a great fit.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and process fresh produce with speed and precision

Confidently use a knife to cut, trim, slice and portion vegetables to spec

Follow production recipes and batch sheets accurately

Operate basic commercial equipment (slicers, kettles, vacuum sealers)

Assist in cooking, pickling, fermenting, and packing processes

Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards throughout the shift

Help clean down equipment and work areas daily

About You

Experience working in a kitchen, prep area, or food manufacturing role

Excellent knife skills and confidence handling fresh produce

Able to work on your feet for long periods and lift up to 15–20kg

Strong attention to detail and consistency

Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment

Food Safety Certificate or prior food handling experience is a bonus
