The Firm

Our client is a nationally recognised firm, delivering top-tier legal services to both government and commercial clients across Australia. Their Corporate & Commercial team comprises 38 professionals, including 8 Partners, working collaboratively across diverse specialties.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate to join the firm's highly regarded and expanding Brisbane Corporate & Commercial team. You'll work closely with leading Partners and a dynamic team on complex transactions and strategic commercial advice.

You'll advise a broad client base, from start-ups and private businesses to ASX-listed companies and large unlisted public entities, with a focus on the Food & Agribusiness, Transport, Construction, and Logistics sectors.

Key areas of work include:

Mergers and acquisitions (M&A)

Capital raising and investment structuring

Corporate restructuring

Commercial contracting

Due diligence (scoping, planning, execution)

Drafting and negotiating key transaction documents

Managing deal completions and post-completion integration

You

You're a commercially astute lawyer with:

5+ years PAE in corporate, M&A, or commercial law

Strong transactional experience, ideally in mid-to-large scale deals

Excellent drafting, advisory, and negotiation skills

Confidence in managing matters end-to-end, with Partner support

A collaborative and pragmatic approach to client service

A genuine interest in helping businesses grow and navigate complex commercial challenges
