The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Food Production Supervisor (Central Kitchen) to oversee and coordinate the daily production operations within our central kitchen. You will work in a professional and organised environment, ensuring our products meet the highest quality and hygiene standards, and efficiently achieve daily production targets. This role offers fixed working hours with no weekend shifts, providing a stable and professional environment for a dedicated leader.
Key Responsibilities
Stable Work Environment: Work in a professional and organized central kitchen environment.
Ingredient Pre-Processing: Accurately wash, cut, portion, and weigh various meats, vegetables, seafood, and other ingredients according to recipes and production schedules.
Semi-Finished Product Production: Strictly follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to prepare sauces, soup bases, marinades, pre-cooked components, and other types of culinary semi-finished goods, emphasizing standardized processes to ensure product quality and consistency.
Quality & Hygiene Control: Ensure all operations comply with food safety and hygiene regulations (e.g., HACCP and other relevant standards), regularly check ingredient freshness, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and play a key role in the food production chain.
Ensure all items leaving the kitchen have been prepped to standard for efficient and quality delivery.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Be familiar with and safely operate common kitchen equipment (e.g., slicers, mixers, vacuum packers), and be responsible for basic cleaning and routine maintenance.
Inventory Management Assistance: Assist with managing raw material and semi-finished product inventory, conducting stock counts, and reporting stock levels as needed.
Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with team members to ensure smooth production flow and achieve daily production targets.
Packaging & Labelling: Be responsible for the initial packaging and labelling of semi-finished products with production dates and item details, ensuring products are accurately and safely prepared for the next stage.
What we're looking for
The ideal candidate for this role possesses:
Strong self-management and organizational skills.
Passion for both cooking and learning.
Minimum 2 years experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Proficiency in basic knife skills, ingredient handling, and recipe execution following standardized procedures, with a strong grasp of food safety and fundamental kitchen equipment operation and maintenance.
A great work ethic.
Highly responsible and detail-oriented, committed to food quality, and able to work efficiently under pressure.
Possesses strong teamwork and communication skills, and is capable of standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights.
The ability to work in Australia, without restrictions.
Basic conversational Mandarin skills are required for diverse team and supplier interactions.
Proficiency in English (listening and speaking) for effective team communication is required.
Possession of relevant culinary certifications (e.g., HACCP certification, culinary trade certificates) is a plus.
