About the role
Taj Masala is seeking a skilled and passionate South Indian Chef to join our team in Huntingdale, Western Australia. As a full-time Chef, you will be responsible for preparing authentic South Indian dishes.You will play a key role in ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation across our menu while maintaining a high standard of hygiene and efficiency.
What you’ll be doing
• Preparing and cooking traditional South Indian dishes to high standards
• Working with kitchen staff to maintain timely service and workflow
• Ensuring cleanliness and food safety in the kitchen
• Following all food safety and hygiene regulations
• Assisting in menu planning and development of new items
• Mentoring junior kitchen staff and providing training as required
What we're looking for
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef in the hospitality industry
• Proven experience with South Indian cuisine
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and team collaboration
• Relevant qualifications in hospitality or commercial cookery (e.g. Certificate IV or Diploma in Hospitality Management)
