About the role
Nurturing Gnomes Pty Ltd is seeking a friendly and experienced Paediatric Clinic Receptionist to join our team in Woodcroft, SA. As a casual position, this role will involve providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our busy paediatric medical practice. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth running of our clinic and the satisfaction of our young patients and their families.

What you'll be doing

Warmly greeting and welcoming young people and their families to the clinic

Managing arrivals, check-ins and check-outs in a professional and efficient manner

Scheduling appointments, managing records and handling confidential information with care

Providing information and guidance to families (& with therapists) on clinic policies and procedures

Assisting with various administrative tasks as required to support the broader clinic team

Maintaining a high level of customer service, cleanliness and "family experience" at all times

What we're looking for

Availability: Tuesday-Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm & Friday's 9am-2pm

Previous experience in a similar medical receptionist or administration role, ideally in a paediatric or family-focused practice

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to empathetically engage with children, young people and their families

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure the efficient running of the clinic

Proficiency in using medical practice management software, Cliniko, and standard office equipment

Knowledge of NDIS and Medicare

Commitment to upholding patient confidentiality and data privacy policies

A warm, friendly and approachable manner that puts patients at ease

Mandatory Checks (required prior to commencement):

Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)

National Police Check – issued within the last 12 months

NDIS Worker Screening Check & Orientation Modules

First Aid and CPR Certificate

Valid Australian Work Rights – e.g., Australian citizenship or residency

Two Professional References – preferably from roles in healthcare or admin
