Town of Mosman Park
Posted 6 days ago
At the Town of Mosman Park, we know that a great employee experience underpins everything we do for our community. That’s why we’re looking for a motivated and proactive People and Culture Officer to join us on a part-time basis for 12 months, with potential to extend.
This is more than just a support role. You’ll be an integral part of a small, high-impact team working across all facets of the employee lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding to learning, development, and wellbeing. You'll help shape a positive workplace culture, enhance our people systems, and make the everyday experience of work better for everyone.
Whether you're returning to work, balancing other life priorities, or just looking for a flexible and rewarding opportunity in HR, this could be the perfect fit.
What you’ll do
Coordinate end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and offboarding
Prepare contracts, letters, reports and data for a variety of HR processes
Support learning and development activities and wellbeing programs
Keep our HR systems (ELMO, payroll and intranet) running smoothly and up to date
Contribute to people-focused projects, policy development and continuous improvement
Partner with managers and staff to provide timely, human-centred HR support
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who:
Has experience in recruitment or generalist HR support (local government experience is a bonus, but not essential)
Is confident with HR systems, records and reporting (bonus points for Elmo or Datapay)
Communicates clearly and builds strong relationships
Has a sharp eye for detail and thrives on getting things right
Can juggle a variety of tasks, stay organised, and keep things moving
Genuinely cares about people, culture and making work better
A relevant qualification, or study in progress along with relevant experience is what we’re looking for.
Why join us?
We’re a small local government with a big heart, nestled between the river and the sea. Here’s what we offer:
Flexible work hours—choose 2 or 3 days per week
A supportive and down-to-earth team
Wellbeing initiatives, EAP and employee benefit programs
17.5% leave loading + superannuation co-contribution
Free parking and great coffee nearby
A chance to make a real impact in a tight-knit organisation
How to apply
If this sounds like your kind of role, we’d love to hear from you. Please submit your CV and a brief cover letter (max 2 pages) via SEEK, telling us why you’d be a great fit.
Applications close: 5pm, Monday 11 August 2025
(Early applications are encouraged—we may start interviewing before the close date.)
