We’re hiring on behalf of a respected financial services organisation in Sydney for a mid to senior data engineer to join their growing data team. This is a permanent opportunity with a high-impact business, offering strong career development and the chance to work on critical enterprise-scale projects.

What you’ll be doing

Building and optimising data pipelines and models on Azure and Snowflake

Designing scalable solutions to support analytics, reporting, and AI use cases

Collaborating closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders

Driving best practices in SQL development, performance tuning, and cloud-native engineering

What you bring

Proven experience as a data engineer working with Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks) and Snowflake

Advanced SQL development skills

A strong understanding of data integration, transformation, and pipeline automation

Bonus: Exposure to or interest in machine learning, whether through projects, tools (e.g. MLflow, Azure ML), or education
