We are currently seeking experienced Support Workers to join our team and support participants in Greenbank and Logan Reserve. If you have a strong background in working with individuals with complex behaviours, mental health challenges, and a trauma-informed approach, we want to hear from you.

Your Role:
As a Support Worker at HelpAlong, you will be providing essential support to participants, supporting them to live independently while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. You will use your knowledge of mental health and trauma-informed practice to assist participants in overcoming challenges, working collaboratively with their support network to deliver the best outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality personal care and support to individuals with complex needs

Support participants in achieving their goals, promoting independence and well-being

Assist with managing complex behaviours and mental health challenges

Work in a trauma-informed manner, ensuring safety and dignity for all participants

Participate in case management and support planning meetings

Collaborate with other team members, service coordinators, and external providers

Ensure accurate and timely documentation of participant interactions and progress

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

Proven experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours and mental health needs

Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and mental health support

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with participants and their families

Empathy, patience, and a person-centred approach to care

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Flexibility and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

A valid Blue Card (or willingness to apply)
