About the role

As the Social Connections Activities Coordinator at Dromana Community House, you will play a vital role in creating engaging and inclusive social activities for the local community. This part-time role is based in Dromana, VIC 3936, and focuses on developing and coordinating a diverse range of programs and events that bring people together and foster a sense of community.

What you'll be doing

Designing, planning and delivering a calendar of social activities and events to meet the needs of the local community

Collaborating with community stakeholders, partners and volunteers to develop and implement new initiatives

Promoting the social activities through various communication channels to maximise engagement and participation

Managing event logistics, including booking venues, coordinating volunteers and organising the CommUnity Pod Cafe

Monitoring and evaluating the success of the social programs to continuously improve and adapt the offering

Ensuring all activities comply with relevant health, safety and compliance requirements

Contributing to the overall mission and objectives of the Dromana Community House

What we're looking for

Proven experience in community development, event management or a related field

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse community members

Excellent organisational and project management abilities, with a keen eye for detail

Creativity and problem-solving skills to develop innovative social activities

A passion for building connections and fostering a sense of community

Knowledge of the local Dromana community and its needs (desirable)
