Social Support Group / Day Centre Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

We’re currently seeking a compassionate, motivated, and experienced Social Support Group PCA to join our dedicated aged care team on a part-time basis. If you have a genuine passion for enriching the lives of older people and thrive in a close-knit team environment, we’d love to hear from you!

About the Role
As a key member of our Social Support Group team, reporting to our Day Centre Coordinator, you will:

Provide meaningful care and social support to our clients.

Facilitate group activities and assist with transport (including driving a 12-seater bus when required).

Document client interactions and services provided, in line with Government standards.

Promote safety and wellbeing through proper use of equipment, and adherence to OH&S and infection control protocols.

Engage effectively and maturely with clients, team members, family members, visitors and other colleagues to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality care.

This role is permanent, part-time; hours of work are Tuesday to Thursday 8:30am to 4:00pm.

Who We’re Looking For

The successful applicant will be a compassionate, qualified and experienced carer with:

A recognised qualification in Aged Care (Cert III or IV in Ageing Support) as well as a Cert IV in Leisure & Lifestyle.

Previous experience working in aged care and a strong understanding of client needs.

A valid and unrestricted driver's licence, and ability to confidently and competently drive a 12-seater bus.

Great interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a small team.

Good time management, documentation, and communication skills.

A commitment to upholding privacy, OH&S and infection control practices.

Reliable access to a mobile phone, internet, and email.

Up-to-date Covid-19 and annual influenza vaccinations.

Ability to respond capably and appropriately in emergency situations.
