About the role

Mining Comm Steel Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager to initially set up our team in Brisbane, Queensland. As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful delivery of our construction projects. This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to the strategic objectives of our growing company within the construction industry. Opportunities to work in other locations throughout Australia and Asia will also be available to the successful candidate.

What you'll be doing

Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams to ensure the timely and efficient completion of construction projects

Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules to meet client requirements and organisational goals

Identify and mitigate potential risks, and implement effective strategies to address them

Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives

Monitor project progress, and provide regular updates and reporting to senior management

Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance procedures

Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the project team

What we're looking for

Extensive experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager in the construction industry

Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex construction projects from inception to completion

Strong commercial acumen.

Proficient in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and BIM software

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and adapt to changing circumstances

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

Thorough understanding of construction industry regulations, safety protocols, and quality standards

Relevant tertiary qualification in construction management, engineering, or a related field

Steel Fabrication experience would be an advantage

Must have permanent Australian work rights or appropriate visa

Current PMP certification and White Card (Construction Induction Card) required

Valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel to construction sites required
