For over a decade, Maleny Grove has been home to a close-knit community nestled in the heart of the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Now, under the stewardship of Reside Communities, an exciting transformation is underway.
Maleny Grove is expanding from 28 to 94 beautifully designed villas set within established gardens and tree-lined streets. These thoughtfully crafted 2 and 3-bedroom homes will feature soaring ceilings, premium finishes, and private outdoor spaces that capture the essence of hinterland living. Complementing these residences will be brand new community facilities designed to enhance the Maleny Grove lifestyle.
An exciting opportunity has presented itself for a Village Manager to lead the community during this expansion, liaising with our Development team and Chief Operating Officer across a multi-year construction program.
You will be a dynamic person with strong leadership skills and a passion for caring service delivery.
As the Village Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
Professionally manage Maleny Grove in accordance with the culture and philosophies of Reside Communities.
Deliver high-quality village services and amenities within village operating budgets.
Review operating equipment, ensuring suitability and integration.
Set effective systems and controls to ensure the consistent smooth running of all areas of the business.
Building and maintaining relationships with all stakeholders including both residents and local businesses.
As the Village Manager you will
Report to the Chief Operating Officer to assist in implementing company policies, strategies, and plans so that the village exceeds residents’ expectations.
Lead and coordinate all village staff duties and responsibilities.
Ensure the village is properly maintained for the enjoyment of the residents.
Coordinate and attend functions held to encourage resident satisfaction and well-being.
Entrench a culture of excellence, sensing community needs, and always putting residents first.
Be fully involved operationally with high visibility in the day-to-day business of the Village.
Create, maintain, and encourage excellent public and employee relations.
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate clear empathy and support for our residents who will be leading active and interesting, independent lives in their retirement homes. A client service ethos is paramount for this role, which will see you thrive in our business.
You will also possess excellent interpersonal skills and experience in communicating and negotiating with a broad range of stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will have:
High level written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
Strong focus on results and customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the village.
Knowledge of the Queensland Retirement Villages legislation.
Budget and management experience to ensure overall financial management of the village.
Intermediate skills using the Microsoft suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Previous experience at management level in hospitality or retirement living, preferably during refurbishments or expansions.
The role requires monitoring of and compliance within Reside’s policies and procedures.
