Management Roles:
Southern Cross Motel Group are actively seeking experienced professional Permanent Motel Management Teams with a strong Buddy Boy Kitchen & Conferencing focus for their expanding portfolio in Mackay, Bundaberg, Cloncurry & Parkes NSW. Every 8weeks we give our Managers 12 RDO's plus a great home, with utilities, meals, competitive salary.
The Role:
Take full management responsibility of these busy motels with themed food & beverage venues. We pride ourselves on quality accommodations and food and beverage services that we offer, the managers role is to ensure we build a strong and effective team/culture whilst maximising profitability as well as delivering a enhanced guest experience and superior customer service.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations within each department of the motel, including Front Office and Reception, Dinner and Breakfast Service, Housekeeping, Grounds and Maintenance.
Be hands on and lead by example.
Provide effective leadership, guidance, and communication.
Provide support and training on the motels standards, policies and procedures, operational requirements, and business objectives.
Manage the operational performance of the motel through meeting and exceeding set budgetary requirements.
Proactively seek sales and marketing opportunities,
Ensue a focus on continuous business development in Food and Beverage through proactive selling and online social media application.
Manage performance of employees, coordinate recruitment, induction, training, and development of staff.
Manage and resolve guest services in a timely and appropriate manner to ensure optimum guest satisfaction.
Monitor and report weekly and monthly upon the motel’s financial performance against the operational budgets.
Ensure motel is compliant and operating within all company guidelines, as well as compliant to all legal requirements including WH&S, liquor and food licensing, fire safety.
Qualifications & Requirements
Approved Manager of a Licensed Venue
Room Sales and Online Channel Booking Management. (Guestpoint & Siteminder)
Experience with Opentable/Kounta and TANDA
Good understanding of Housekeeping operations.
Great with people and the ability to build rapport easily
Passionate and motivated to succeed.
Must be willing to relocate and live onsite.
