The Role

We're looking for a Client Services Manager who combines leadership skills with exceptional client focus. You'll lead a team of three bookkeepers while serving as the primary relationship manager for our clients. This role is about ensuring excellence in delivery while building the trusted partnerships our clients value.

Lead Your Team

Manage and develop three skilled bookkeepers

Distribute workload effectively and maintain team morale

Provide coaching and support to elevate team performance

Foster a collaborative environment focused on excellence

Own Client Relationships

Serve as the trusted advisor for your client portfolio

Proactively identify opportunities and prevent issues

Handle complex queries with professionalism and confidence

Transform compliance services into strategic business partnerships

Ensure Quality

Review and approve all BAS returns before lodgement

Maintain compliance deadlines without compromise

Uphold Proactive's high-quality standards across all deliverables

Keep the team informed of regulatory changes and best practices

What You Bring

Essential Requirements:

Minimum 5 years' experience in bookkeeping and BAS accounting

Proven team leadership or supervisory experience

Advanced Xero proficiency is essential

Comprehensive knowledge of BAS, payroll, and superannuation

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Genuine enthusiasm for client service

Highly Regarded:

Accounting firm experience

Xero certification or partner status

Track record of process improvement initiatives
