We are recruiting for an exciting Mechanical Fitter position within one of our nationally recognized clients. This role offers great working conditions and growth.

Role Responsibilities:

• Attend shutdown, breakdown, preventive, and reactive maintenance activities across site
• 
  Perform routine maintenance and assist in troubleshooting and promptly repairing mechanical issues in manufacturing equipment and processes.
• 
  Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by adhering to all site safety standards and permit systems, while maintaining required plant uptime.
• 
  Conduct risk assessments for maintenance tasks and implement appropriate control measures to ensure a safe working environment.
• 
  Monitor equipment condition and provide timely reports, working collaboratively to plan and execute necessary rectifications.
• 
  Carry out a wide range of mechanical trade tasks including welding, fabrication, installation, commissioning, lubrication, troubleshooting, and specialised machining, ensuring work meets quality and competency standards.
• 
  Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities by completing documentation in the Maintenance Management System.
• 
  Assist in the maintenance store operations, including safe stacking of heavy goods, stock management, picking and recording inventory movements, and operating forklifts for pallet and goods handling.

Skills:

• Mechanical trade certified.
• Experienced working within a similar role within the manufacturing sector.
• Welding skills are desirable (TiG).
• Strong H&S awareness.
