Job Description
The Program Support Officer is responsible for providing support, within designated Program clusters. This role will ensure the effective academic planning and administration of matters relating to program management.
Working in collaboration with the Program Directors and the Academic Support Officers, you will manage the student support and retention, strategic support, and program administration to achieve the schools and groups strategy and targets.
This role is responsible for:
- Expert administrative support for program and course development, including online and transnational programs, and professional accreditation processes.
- High-level assistance for Deputy Heads of School and Program Directors in preparing and submitting program and course documentation, ensuring compliance with university policies.
- Support for Program Directors in analysing program changes, monitoring implementation, and managing processes related to program review, including curriculum renewal and reaccreditation.
About you
To be successful in this role you will:
- Hold a Bachelors degree, relevant higher education work experience or similar high level administrative role.
- Demonstrate an eye for detail, the ability to interpret and apply policy, strong problem-solving skills and proven organisational skills in a deadline driven environment. This is not a generic administrative position.
- Be comfortable using the current Griffith systems (or willing to learn), have proven experience of working within a team as well as independently. The ability to problem solve complex situations and innovate where required, along with event management, data interpretation skills, and strong communication are highly valued.
What we can offer
This is a fixed term, full-time position (until 30/6/2026) and will be primarily based at the Griffith University Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 6 range $91,843 - $97,964 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $107,456 - $114,618 per annum.
Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
