As a Management Accountant at St John WA, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with operational stakeholders and support strategic decision-making processes through your management of the accounting function for our Fleet, Property and Digital Services teams. You will join a supportive team, working closely with the Senior Management Accountant and reporting into the Financial Performance & Analysis Manager, and take a lead role in management accounting functions to assist the senior management and executive team facilitate strategic decision making.

This is a Permanent Full-time opportunity working in the Belmont State Office. Flexible working hours can be considered, and 2 Work from home days are available, post probation.

What you’ll do:

• Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis of trends & projections.
• Preparation of monthly journals and reconciliations.
• Financial reporting and analysis to support multiple business units and projects.
• Assist the Senior Management Accountant in the preparation of monthly report packs.
• Identify process improvement and drive the implementation.
• Develop and maintain strong relationship with operational stakeholders.
• Ad-hoc analysis and guidance in relation to strategic initiatives
• Assist with the ongoing development of reports and dashboards.

What you’ll need:

• Good understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes with strong reporting background.
• Developed understanding of accounting principles and ability to apply in a complex environment.
• High level interpersonal skills to ensure relationships are formed with key stakeholders.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure deadlines are met
• Intermediate to advanced excel skills
• 2+ years post graduate experience in a management accounting or corporate accounting role
• Accounting degree with post-graduate qualifications in CA or CPA.
