Contract Role | FIFO Roster Options | Shutdown Coaching & Capability Development Focus

Untapped are looking for Shutdown Work Management Coaches to support a Tier 1 miner's Project Management Office (PMO) to achieve long-term improvement across shutdown execution teams. This role is perfect for experienced planning, scheduling, and work management professionals who are enthusiastic about coaching, empowering teams, and embedding leading practices using a mindsets and behaviours approach.

Roster:

Flexible FIFO rosters considered, including options of 5/2/4/3, 8/6, 9/5, or other.

Contract Details:

Start date: August/September 2025.

Contract Term: 6 months with potential for extension.

About the Role:

We are looking to engage up to three (3) experienced Shutdown Work Management Coaches/Advisors to:

- Align with internal safety management systems and asset strategies to ensure shutdown activities are executed safely and efficiently.

- Improve planning and scheduling discipline to minimise downtime, critical path delays, and improve cost control.

- Embed Work Management and Leading Practices across the shutdown lifecycle, from scope definition through to execution, handover, and review.

- Develop internal capabilities among frontline supervisors, schedulers, and execution leaders to support long-term progress.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide focused coaching sessions for superintendents, schedulers, supervisors, and coordinators to help them implement best-practice scheduling and task management systems.

- Offer practical coaching to improve stakeholder engagement and communication across the support and execution teams.

- Identify and help resolve process bottlenecks, especially at handover points between Maintenance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.

- Conduct post-shutdown reviews including detailed observations, uplift delivered, capability gaps, and recommended next steps.

What You Bring:

- Proven ability to coach and empower teams, with a strong emphasis on mindsets, behaviours, and long-term process adoption.

- Extensive shutdown, planning, scheduling, and work management expertise, preferably in the mining, heavy industry, or major asset environments.

- Confidence in coaching at the point of application and driving process ownership at the front lines.

- The ability to persuade, align, and engage stakeholders at every level.

- Experience with Work Management and Shutdown Management practices is very desirable.

- Deep knowledge of Fixed/Processing Plant maintenance desirable.
