About the Company
Our client is a listed organisation with a strong national presence and a collaborative, fast-paced culture. The business has recently implemented a new ERP system and is entering a critical year-end phase. They're seeking additional support to help manage external audit requirements, ensure internal data integrity, and keep operations moving smoothly.

About the Role
This is a 3-6 month interim opportunity for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to step in and provide hands-on support during a busy period. You'll be responsible for leading the audit process from the company's side, preparing Annual Financial Statements (AFS), and conducting internal audits on the newly implemented system. This role will also involve resolving system-related issues, helping the wider finance team clear bottlenecks, and, where possible, contributing to SOPs, workflow design, and training.

Key areas of focus include:

• Coordinating the external audit process
• Preparing statutory accounts for year-end and glossary
• Performing internal audits to validate new system data
• Assisting with BAU support and problem-solving
• Contributing to documentation and process improvements, if time allows
• Responding to ad hoc needs in a fast-changing environment

The role is based in Woolloongabba and requires an immediate start.

About You
You are CA qualified with a background in Audit and a love for variety. You're adaptable, quick to jump in where needed, and comfortable working across technical reporting, internal reviews, and business operations.

You'll also bring:

• Strong IFRS reporting and year-end experience
• A practical, hands-on approach with attention to detail
• Advanced Excel skills - you enjoy working with data
• Experience with Business Central or Power BI is a bonus (not essential)
• A team mindset, positive energy, and clear communication skills
• A sense of humour and the ability to roll with the chaos when it happens
