What you will do
The Finance and Funding portfolio is responsible for the distribution and stewardship of grant funding to Catholic schools across Victoria in addition to managing VCEA's internal finances and providing strategic guidance to support effective decision-making.
Within the Finance and Funding portfolio sits the Services and Capital Funding team which manages and administers various capital grant programs funded by the Australian and Victorian governments for the Catholic Sector across Victoria.
The core responsibility of The Grants Administrator, Capital Programs, is to support the Services and Capital Funding Team in the administration of government funded capital grant programs for Catholic schools across Victoria.
What you will bring
With a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach, you will bring experience supporting finance and compliance functions within grant-funded programs.
Your strengths in data management and administrative processes will be essential as you coordinate payment claims, track key documentation, and help maintain accurate records across finance systems and web-based applications.
You’ll be comfortable working collaboratively across teams to ensure the timely flow of information and reporting, and confident preparing briefings, letters and other communications.
Your ability to manage multiple priorities and provide high-quality administrative support will make you a valuable contributor to the Services and Capital Funding team.
You will demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and empathy in all interactions. You take ownership of your work, follow through on commitments, and approach tasks with diligence and accountability.
Qualifications and Experience
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business Administration/Secretarial, project management or finance. Information Technology studies would be highly regarded.
A minimum of two years’ experience in a related grants administration role, preferably in the education or public sector.
Demonstratable ability to function in time-pressured situations whilst contributing effectively to a team environment whilst seamlessly shifting to working autonomously.
Must hold and maintain a valid Victorian driver's license, have access to a reliable car and be willing to travel to schools in metropolitan and regional Victoria.
