The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a people-focused, capable and detail-oriented individual to deliver library and customer service through the provision of regular programs, one-off events, digital resources, technology and physical material to users of Council library services.
As a Library Officer, you will provide excellent customer service to library users by assisting with a variety of enquiries including information requests, technology assistance, suggestions for borrowers and support community connection through the delivery of engaging programs such as Storytime, school holiday activities and events for adults.
You will also participate in cross-library working groups related to Operations, Programs & Partnerships, Technology and Collections initiatives.

About You
We are seeking an individual who holds a minimum qualification of a Certificate III in Library Services, or willingness to undertake and has a NSW Class C Drivers Licence.
You will have the following skills and experience;
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of Library Services, including program delivery and customer training.
- Well-developed skills in the use and troubleshooting of computer applications and hardware.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including the ability to liaise effectively with customers.
Benefits
This is a permanent part time position working 21 hours per week.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $77,319.42 gross per annum (paid pro-rata), comprising of:
- $1,327.60 per week base salary (paid pro-rata)
- $159.31 per week superannuation (paid pro-rata) (calculated at 12%)
