We’re on the lookout for a skilled and enthusiastic Tree Crew Member to join our dedicated Arboriculture Team. From planting and pruning to assessing and maintaining trees across the region, your work will directly contribute to the health, safety and beauty of our community’s green spaces.
What You’ll Do:
Carry out a range of tree management activities including planting, pruning, inspection and removal
Operate specialised arborist equipment such as wood chippers, EWP, pneumatic saws and climbing gear
Maintain and enhance the region’s urban forest as part of a skilled and supportive crew
Work safely, collaboratively, and with a strong community mindset
What You’ll Bring:
Cert III in Arboriculture (or equivalent qualifications)
Experience in tree climbing, pruning, and mechanical equipment operation
Level 2 First Aid and a Medium Rigid Licence
A genuine love for working outdoors and being part of a hardworking team

About Rural City of Wangaratta
The Rural City of Wangaratta was formed from the merger of the City of Wangaratta, the Shires of Oxley and Wangaratta and parts of the Shires of Beechworth, Benalla and Yarrawonga. Originally known as the Shire of Milawa when the municipality was created on 18 November 1994 it was renamed the Rural City of Wangaratta on 29 June 1995.
