About the role
As an Infrastructure Maintenance Crew Member at Yarra Ranges Council, you will undertake general road, asphalting, streetscape maintenance, and operate and maintain various plant items, including trucks, while working cooperatively to achieve team goals.
This is a dynamic, hands-on position that supports the wellbeing and everyday experience of communities across Yarra Ranges—perfect for people who enjoy outdoor work, working in teams, and making a visible difference in their environment.
As part of the Infrastructure Maintenance team, you’ll help shape safe, welcoming streetscapes, roads, and drainage systems by:
Operating and maintaining vehicles and tools with confidence and care
Undertaking maintenance that contributes to a clean, safe, and accessible community
Supporting emergency response and business continuity during critical times
The role is suited to someone who takes a proactive approach in identifying and addressing maintenance issues, is community-minded, and comfortable taking initiative, whether that’s working solo on a task or collaborating with others to problem-solve creatively.

Full-time permanent 38 hours per week (part time options considered)
This is a Band 3 role with a salary range between $68,469 and $72,229 per annum, plus superannuation.
