A National supplier specialising in outdoor furniture products into the retail sector. One that supplies to hundreds of retail stores nationwide. Located in the Blacktown industrial area this company works with some of Australis biggest retail outdoor furniture brands! .

The Role: Warehouse Supervisor
In this role you will work in a 12,000 square meter warehouse. Supervising a team of 15+ staff.
This site is currently transitioning from a pick to paper format to RF Picking and you will be involved in this implementation.
What your team looks like:
A mix of pickers, furniture assemblers, High reach forklift operators and receiving and despatch staff

Your duties will include:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the inbound and outbound warehouse team, ensuring efficiency and accuracy
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of warehouse staff
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock movement
• Ensure compliance with WHS regulations and company policies
• Manage incoming and outgoing freight and maintain documentation
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely order fulfillment
• Supervise receiving and dispatch procedures, ensuring that high-performance standards are consistently achieved.
• Liaising with Delivery and Freight company drivers for incoming and outgoing deliveries
• Container receiving management (containers are unloaded by a 3rd party team)
• Collaboratively engage with internal departments to ensure stock availability for dispatch, thus supporting seamless operational flow.
• Ensure the safe and efficient loading and unloading of B-double trucks and containers.
• Supporting the rollout of a new Warehouse Management System (WMS) and driving positive change within the team
• Getting hands-on as required – valid Forklift Licence is essential
• Completing general warehouse duties and ensuring best practices are followed
• Using RF scanners and WMS for efficient stock handling and tracking

Shift Available:
Day:

• 7am – 3pm
• Monday to Friday

The Candidate:
You will come from a 3pl or FMCG warehousing environment where you have supervised pickers, High reach and counterbalance forklift operators and will have an understanding of receiving and despatch duties. Most importantly you will lead by example and have a passion in developing and mentoring your team!
Having worked in a furniture distribution warehouse is highly advantageous!

To be successful in obtaining this role you will have the following experience:

• Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or leadership role
• Valid LF Forklift license with experience across both High reach and Counterbalance duties
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management systems
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Experience in both “pick to paper” and RF / WMS picking environments
• Receiving and despatch experience
• Inbound and outbound experience
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strategic and hands-on leadership, with a track record of successfully supervising teams, optimizing workflows, and driving efficiency.
• Proven ability to provide proactive, forward-thinking leadership with a week-to-week focus on continuous improvement
• Have excellent time management, communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
