Assist Developmental Therapy
Posted 9 days ago
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who genuinely cares — about children, their families, and doing work that actually makes a difference.
Someone who values independence and flexibility, but still wants to be part of a small, thoughtful team.
Someone who’s ready to show up, do great work, and feel good about what they’re building.
About Us
Assist Developmental Therapy is a values-led provider supporting neurodivergent children and young people across Adelaide.
Our therapists work in homes, schools, and community spaces — always tailoring support to what each client needs most.
We believe in connection, consistency, and care. Families trust us to walk alongside them — not ahead of them.
The Role
Support children and families with emotional regulation, developmental goals, and everyday life skills.
Deliver sessions in homes and schools across Adelaide’s north and east.
Build strong, respectful relationships with families and support teams.
Manage your own calendar and session planning — with admin support behind you every step of the way.
What We Offer
Flexible hours to work around your energy, family, and life.
A supportive, values-driven team who genuinely care about your wellbeing and growth.
Realistic caseloads — we don’t overload.
Admin, systems and invoicing handled for you, so you can focus on what matters.
Regular 1:1 check-ins, clinical support, and space to shape new programs.
Travel reimbursed and professional development encouraged.
About You
You’re a qualified Developmental Educator (or nearly finished) with a passion for child development.
You love working independently but appreciate a team you can check in with.
You build rapport naturally and consistently show up for the families you support.
You’re organised, warm, and reflective — someone who brings calm into the chaos.
You’re looking for meaningful work, not just a job.
Bonus Points
Experience with the NDIS, early intervention or school-based supports.
Passion for collaborative care and trauma-informed approaches.
Based in Adelaide’s north or east, with the ability to travel to homes and schools in those areas.
To Apply
Send us your resume and a short intro — no formal cover letter needed. Just tell us why this role feels right for you.
We care more about who you are than how polished your CV is.
