Asset Strategy Officer
Permanent Full Time Position
Location: Morwell, Victoria
Salary Range: $94,412 - $102,394 plus 12% superannuation
Department: City Assets
We are seeking an experienced professional for the full-time permanent position of Asset Strategy Officer, to join the City Assets team.
As the Asset Strategy Officer, you will support the Coordinator Asset Planning in the ongoing management of Councils Asset Management strategies systems & process.
Responsibilities include:
- Be the key point of contact for Council's Asset Management Information System, ensuring the asset data is consistent with the Asset Management Information System requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain asset management processes and registers, including updates for capital works and developer-contributed assets.
- Support annual asset valuations through accurate data management.
- Maintain and enhance the pavement management system, including preparation of forward works programs for road and kerb renewals.
- Conduct condition assessments, update asset inventories, and contribute to financial modelling and asset revaluations.
· Collaborate within the Asset Planning Team to support the development and implementation of asset management strategies and plans.
Ideally you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Asset Management and/or related discipline such as Engineering or substantial experience/knowledge in Asset Management Information Systems.
- Some experience in and knowledge of Civil Engineering practice and in particular road construction/maintenance.
- Excellent understanding and demonstrated application of Asset Management principles.
- Experience in Pavement Management Systems.
- Experience and understanding of Quality Assurance and Health & Safety standards and procedures.
- Proficiency in the use of computerised accounting systems, spreadsheets and related Microsoft Office Suite of products will be an advantage.
