We’re on the lookout for an experienced and passionate Senior Event Planner to join our team at one of Melbourne’s most iconic venues Melbourne Town Hall. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident planner to step into a senior role, working across a wide variety of premium weddings, corporate functions, and high-profile civic events.
As a key member of the planning & production team, you'll lead client relationships from contract handover to event delivery, ensuring a seamless and exceptional experience at every stage. You’ll also mentor junior planners, liaise with venue stakeholders, and work closely with our kitchen and operations teams to bring events to life.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Own the end-to-end planning and coordination of events at Melbourne Town Hall
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, guiding them through the event journey with professionalism and creativity
Lead site visits, menu tastings, supplier coordination, and detailed event run sheets
Collaborate with our sales, kitchen, and ops teams to ensure seamless handovers and standout execution
Support junior planners through mentorship, troubleshooting, and sharing best practices
Represent Showtime Event Group to external venue and council stakeholders with clarity, care, and professionalism
About You:
Minimum 3+ years' experience in event planning or 2+ years experience as a senior event planner, ideally in a venue or catering environment
You’re confident, calm under pressure, and solutions-focused
A natural relationship builder who can manage multiple stakeholders and priorities with ease
Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to exceptional service
Available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
