Our client is seeking a switched-on Accountant/Business Analyst to join their finance team in this Perth-based role with monthly travel to site. This hybrid position combines financial reporting with operational analysis, giving you exposure to both office-based strategy and on-the-ground performance.

Accounting:

Oversee the accuracy and integrity of site-level financial records, ensuring alignment with both corporate guidelines and statutory obligations

Monitor and report on capital expenditure, maintain the fixed asset register, and validate inventory accounting practices

Handle day-to-day financial transactions including accounts payable and receivable, journal processing, and balance sheet reconciliations using Pronto ERP

Compile and present monthly financial reports, delivering insights through cost centre analysis and variance reporting

Support the financial close process at month and year-end, including the preparation of accruals and reconciliations.

Business analysis:

Review operational performance through comprehensive cost analysis, forecasting, and budget tracking

Design and update dashboards and performance reports to assist management in data-driven decision-making

Utilise Pronto ERP to extract, interpret, and visualise key operational and financial data

Deliver financial models and scenario analyses to support investment planning, strategic initiatives, and project assessments

Travel to site once a month to engage with stakeholders and gain firsthand insight into operations.

What you’ll need:

A degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field

CPA or CA qualification is highly desirable

Minimum 3 years' experience in a finance role—preferably within mining or a site-based environment

Proficient in Pronto ERP for financial and operational reporting

Strong understanding of mining cost structures such as processing, logistics, and maintenance.

Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) is a bonus

Willingness to travel to site once a month from Perth.
