A large and growing regional North West NSW firm, is seeking a Contract, Manager level Accountant to bolster their Business Services and Tax team during a period of maternity leave within our office. This role would be contract based, fully remote, flexible hours, above market pay.

Key Responsibilities:

Given this is a contract role, client contact may be limited unless there was a strong desire from the candidate for this to happen.

The ideal candidate would be a very senior Accountant, with significant exposure to primary production clients and some experience of undertaking reviews of compliance work.

Reviews (and some preparation) of various primary production (Beef, Wheat, Cotton etc) financials and tax returns. This covers clients of all sizes, including a significant number of clients in the ATO Next 5,000 program.

Significant amount of restructuring, capital gains, strategic tax planning, rollovers etc within our firm currently. Very exciting to be part of. As much exposure as you like to specialist external advisors (tax solicitors, commercial solicitors, stamp duty barristers, CGT specialists).

Advisory Services

Liaison with the ATO

Maintenance and preparation of clients financial records

Depending on the candidate, you would be working directly with partners, and the firms long serving managers/senior accountants.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in an Australian accounting firm.

CA/CPA qualifications.

Proven experience working with primary production clients.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
