The City of Karratha is seeking a dynamic and proactive Operations Duty Manager to join the team at the Red Earth Arts Precinct (REAP) – a world-class facility that brings cinema, live performances, festivals and community events to life.
As the REAP Operations Duty Manager, you'll be the go-to person ensuring seamless event delivery, first-class customer service, and vibrant front-of-house operations. From supervising ticketing and kiosk services to running movie programming and acting as the Approved Manager under the Liquor Control Act, this is your chance to be at the centre of a thriving cultural hub.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee daily operations including box office, bar, and kiosk services
- Deliver a high-quality, welcoming experience for patrons
- Coordinate movie programming and liaise directly with distributors
- Act as the Approved Manager during events, ensuring compliance with licensing laws
- Supervise and support casual staff and service providers
- Assist with staff rosters, onboarding, and continuous service improvement
- Be a key player in emergency procedures and venue readiness
What You’ll Bring:
- Exceptional leadership and customer service skills
- Previous experience in events, hospitality, theatre, or venue operations
- Sound knowledge of POS and computerised ticketing systems
- Cash handling and reporting confidence
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends
- Approved Manager certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Current C Class driver’s licence & National Police Clearance
