Hybrid role after initial onboarding
$70 - $80k + Super (dep on experience)
I am working with a long-standing Brisbane-based digital agency that’s growing their dev team and looking for a capable Web Developer with strong Shopify experience.
This is a full-time, on-site role (with the option to work from home 2 days a week once you’re settled in), and a great opportunity to work across a mix of eCommerce builds, custom functionality, and broader web projects.
You’ll join a collaborative team of designers, marketers and developers who all genuinely care about helping clients achieve real business results, not just pushing out pretty websites.
What you’ll be doing:
Building and maintaining Shopify websites. Setting up stores, integrating apps, customising themes, and solving the fiddly stuff that gets in the way of launch.
Supporting clients with WordPress builds and updates: A good amount of your time will be split between Shopify and WordPress projects.
Helping the marketing team with ongoing development support across client campaigns and retainers.
Working closely with the internal design and marketing teams to bring projects to life: No silos here, it’s a genuinely cross-functional studio.
Tech skills we’re looking for:
Solid Shopify development experience: You'll know your way around the platform, themes, apps, and integrations.
Good working knowledge of WordPress (including theme customisation).
Proficiency in JavaScript and PHP: These are the main languages used across the team.
Strong understanding of HTML and CSS.
Bonus points if you’ve worked on eCommerce projects where you could demonstrate how your dev work supported client goals like increased conversions or sales.
Soft skills that matter:
Good communicator: Clear written and verbal English is a must.
Results-focused mindset: You’ll care about the purpose behind the build, not just ticking the dev boxes.
Comfortable working across multiple projects and pitching in when someone’s away.
You take ownership of your work and can manage your time without being micro-managed.
Why join the team:
A friendly, collaborative crew who value doing good work and supporting each other.
No office politics, no clock-watching, just a supportive environment where people care about what they do.
Led by a new MD who’s brought in structure, support, and is driving exciting growth across the business.
Great location near the train station (most of the team catches public transport).
Great work/life balance
Salary range: $70k–$80k + super (final package to be based on experience).
Sound interesting?
