Forecaz utilises AI and spatial technologies to analyse the impacts of current and alternative land use scenarios and evaluate their effects on future urban development and the demand on infrastructure networks such as roads, water and sewerage. The platform empowers users to conduct comprehensive scenario modelling, providing valuable insights for strategic planning and resource allocation. Sizztech is based in the Queensland Government Innovation Precinct in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley. Our customers include local government authorities, the federal and state governments, and utility providers.

Who We Are Looking For:

Sizztech is expanding its team to meet growing customer demand and to support its increasing customer base. The company is seeking a Graduate/Junior Software Engineer for a full-time, on-site position in our Brisbane office, QLD. The Graduate Software Engineer will assess and resolve customer support requests, assist with enhancements to the Forecaz platform, and work primarily on front-end web development.

You should:

Have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (completed or near completion).

Minimum of 6 months experience through internships, work placements or personal projects.

Have a passion for helping our customers get the best out of our software.

Want exposure to: Geo-Spatial technologies; Machine Learning (ML); .NET Software Development; and Cloud Technologies.

What Skills You Should Have:

Experience or exposure the following Back-end languages: C#; Java; or Python.

Experience or exposure the following Front-end languages: VueJS; JavaScript; HTML; and CSS.

Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) techniques.

Reviewing, Cleaning and Uploading data to a database (SQL or equivalent).

Writing test cases (using industry best practices).

Experience with AI or spatial services.

Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies/development frameworks.

Working knowledge of Git including branching, merging, and pull requests.

Use of Azure/AWS cloud-based environments.

Supporting customers using an ITIL service management tool (escalating as required and keeping the customer updated).

Great written and verbal communication skills.
