Our client is growing fast – and we’re searching for a hands-on, solution-focused Fitter to join our team in Smithfield. You’ll work across both field service and workshop environments, with plenty of autonomy, variety, and career development along the way.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Conduct on-site tooling audits, servicing, installs & customer support
• Attend breakdowns (rare) and return to Smithfield workshop when needed for system builds, repairs & maintenance
• Support clients across mechanical fluid power, offering expert technical and application advice
• Service, maintain, and troubleshoot hydraulic & mechanical systems, including air/hydraulic tooling
• Complete accurate job reports and assessments
• Travel to local and regional sites (with notice)

Must-Haves:

• Mechanical fitter or diesel mechanic trade qualification
• Strong mechanical & hydraulic troubleshooting skills
• Customer-first mindset with excellent communication
• Comfortable working independently, including remotely
• Safety-first approach, always
• Solid admin/reporting ability

Nice-to-Have:

• Hydraulic hose crimping/fitting experience
• Exposure to torque wrenches, jacks, power packs, etc.
• Site commissioning experience
• COVID Vaccination
• Flexible to travel at short notice
