About the roles:

ETS is seeking to develop a new role responsible for vegetation inspections, Hazard Tree Quoting, co-ordinating and planning the delivery of the Vegetation Management program on the Western Power network. As a result, we are looking for and experienced Supervisor / Scoper (Vegetation Inspector) to join our team.

The Supervisor/Scoper position is a key position within ETS. This role is hands on, and you will be required to juggle multiple responsibilities and manage your time effectively.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Working with the Operations team to co-ordinate and plan the delivery of Vegetation Management

Assess workloads in line with client guidelines & document actions required

Undertake crew safety/quality audits

Assessing the powerline network in your area - recording vegetation trimming work that needs to be completed

Inspecting/Quoting Hazard trees

Provide clear instruction and direction for completion of required work to crews

Notify / liaise / negotiate with affected property owners / customers

Assist in the building and maintaining of a relationship with the client

Ensure that safety standards, company policies and safe work practices are always adhered to

About you:

Previous experience in the Vegetation Management industry either as an arborist, Vegetation Inspector or Supervisor / Scoper - is essential

Proven experience in supervising, leading teams and driving results

Proven commitment to promoting safety, quality and environment compliance

Good communication skills and be able to interact with property owners

Knowledgeable in the identification of tree species

Be able to provide clear instructions for our crews to undertake trimming works

Have good IT skills and be able to use an iPad

Excellent time management and organisation skills, with a demonstrated ability to work to deadlines, set priorities, and work under pressure

The following qualifications would also be desirable for the Supervisor/Scoper role:

Cert 2 ESI

Cert 3 Arboriculture
