Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) is seeking to appoint an 8-month fixed-term Top Designs Exhibition Officer, engaged to plan, coordinate and deliver the annual Top Designs exhibition at Museums Victoria.

The VCAA is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. We provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian students birth to 18 years.

The Top Designs Exhibition Officer role will join the VCAA Festival and Events team, responsible for the development and delivery of VCE Season of Excellence Festival showcasing exemplary work by VCE students undertaking design, fine art, media, performing arts and extended investigation studies.

The Season of Excellence festival comprises Top Talks at State Library Victoria, two exhibitions (Top Arts at the NGV and Top Designs at Melbourne Museum), Top Class performances and concerts at the Melbourne Recital Centre and other regional venues, Top Screen short film screenings at ACMI, and a literary publication for Top Scribe.

The purpose of Top Designs Exhibition Officer role is to assist with the support and co-ordination of exhibition logistics and administration for Top Designs, a temporary exhibition staged annually at the Melbourne Museum showcasing the works of VCE students across subject areas including Media, Product Design and Technologies, Systems Engineering, Visual Communication Design.

The role works closely with the Top Designs Exhibition Lead and supports key administrative tasks crucial to the success of this project.

Accountabilities include:

· Manage collections database including object documentation and handling

· Provides administrative support for the project including shared mailbox moderation

· Oversight of event planning and delivery including Exhibitor Preview Day and Top Designs Exhibition Launch

· Coordination of web content including collation and delivery

Support exhibition curation and onsite installation

· Stakeholder communications and student schedules

· Coordinate digital folio scanning and review

· Photography and videography scheduling

· Coordinate exhibition access guide and audio description

· Prepare student surveys and evaluation

· Significant stakeholder engagement, including students, schools and teachers, Museum staff, exhibition contractors, and internal VCAA staff.

· contribute to a workplace that is diverse, innovative, responsive, inclusive, safe and reflects the VPS values.

· A current White Card or be willing to obtain
