What is the role?

This position is your opportunity to be an integral part of our continued growth. You will be hands-on in building and installing exhibition stands and office fitouts that meet client specifications. Your role encompasses everything from on-site installation to pre-build planning, ensuring delivery of high-quality spaces that impress.

As part of our close-knit team, you’ll enjoy autonomy and direct communication with the production manager, with opportunities to showcase your craftsmanship and problem-solving skills.

What will help you succeed?

Trade Qualification: Skilled as a carpenter, office fitter, or similar.

Industry Experience: Proven in fast-paced environments like exhibitions, trade shows, or office fitouts.

Customer Focused: Dedicated to exceeding client expectations and ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Attention to Detail: Precision in interpreting drawings, plans, and specifications to deliver flawless finishes.

Skilled in Fitouts: Experience with installing office ceilings, partitions, cabinetry, flooring, and other fitout elements.

Self-Motivated: Driven to complete tasks efficiently and take initiative.

People & Work Management: Capable of managing multiple tasks, ensuring timely delivery.

Adaptability: Quick to develop solutions and adapt to project changes.

Organised: Meticulous preparation of materials, tools, and schedules.

Problem Solver: Able to troubleshoot installation issues confidently.

Travel Ready: Willing to travel to various project sites with notice.

What does your day involve?

Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and site plans for both exhibition builds and office fitouts.

Ordering and managing materials, including cabinetry, framing, flooring, lighting, and electrical components.

Cutting, assembling, and shaping materials such as timber, MDF, and metal.

Installing structural elements like framing, wall systems, ceilings, cabinetry, and flooring.

Managing pre-build setups, including mock-ups and panel fabrication.

Preparing detailed installation instructions and site-specific notes.

Ensuring all elements are packed down efficiently, with consideration for reuse and future projects.

Maintaining documentation, images, and notes in project folders for future reference.

Attending site meetings and liaising with clients and contractors.

Troubleshooting on-site installation issues, providing practical solutions.

Assisting with project planning, coordination, and quality control.
