As a Systems Administrator, you'll be at the forefront of our cloud centric strategy, ensuring the availability, efficiency and cost effectiveness of cloud services across our Azure cloud platform.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include overseeing cloud operations. This means ensuring that our Azure cloud infrastructure is secure, highly available, and performing optimally. You'll be responsible for incident management, ensuring that any issues are resolved quickly and effectively to minimize downtime. Security compliance will be another critical aspect of your role. You'll need to ensure that our cloud infrastructure adheres to industry standards and best practices, protecting our data and systems from potential threats.

Beyond the technical aspects, you'll play a vital role in educating and supporting our operational teams. By implementing cloud operations based on best practices, you'll foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. This will involve providing training and support to help teams develop their skills and stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and practices.

The ideal candidate will possess the following technical proficiencies:
• System Administration: Proven experience with system administration in cloud based environments, including the deployment, management, and operation of scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Networking: Solid understanding of cloud networking architectures and knowledge of integration patterns with on-premises data centres.
• Security and Compliance: Familiarity with cloud security best practices, including the implementation of governance, risk and compliance frameworks suitable for cloud operations.
• Automation/Scripting: Proficiency in automation and orchestration tools to streamline Cloud operations. Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) is advantageous.
• Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work collaboratively across different teams.
• Troubleshooting: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively address systemic issues that may affect cloud services.
• Continuous Learning: A commitment to keeping abreast with the latest cloud trends, practices, and technologies to drive continuous improvement in our cloud operations.
