The Role - ISO Compliance Consultant

Looking for someone to provide advice and assist in getting our clients ready for third party certification to ISO standards such as ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and ISO 27001 Information Security and ISO 45000 Work Health & Safety.

The role would involve:

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct gap analyses against relevant ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 45001).

• Develop and review documentation such as policies, procedures, registers, and plans.

• Support clients in preparing for third-party certification audits.

• Maintain and manage ongoing client systems, including scheduling reviews and updates.

• Lead or support internal audits across client sites.

• Facilitate Management Review Meetings and provide audit-readiness advice.

• Liaise with clients regularly to ensure project milestones and compliance needs are met.

• Manage and improve Engineering Business’ internal Quality Management System (QMS).

Training will be offered to the right candidate to attain internal auditor qualifications in ISO 27001 & 45001 if not already qualified.

Required Skills & Experience

Essential:

- Experience in developing, auditing, working under Quality Management Systems

- Based in Sydney

- Hold Australian Citizenship

- Excellent written communication and document control skills

Highly Desirable:

- Proven experience preparing organisations for third-party ISO 9001 certification

- Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015, with exposure to ISO 27001 and/or ISO 45001.

- Experience conducting gap analyses and developing management system documentation.

- Strong client-facing and advisory skills

- Internal Auditor qualifications (ISO 9001).

- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.

- Working knowledge of ISO 27001 Information Security Management System & ISO 45001 WHS

Work Arrangements

This is a part-time role, 2–3 days per week, based in our Sydney office. While the position is initially office-based, there is potential for hybrid work arrangements following the successful completion of a probation period.
