An exciting opportunity for a Casual position has become available in our busy medium-sized General Practice clinic in Prahran.

We are a private/mixed billing clinic and pride ourselves in providing exceptional customer service to all our patients to ensure a smooth and functioning practice.

Job tasks and responsibilities:

· Reporting directly to the senior receptionist

· Answering telephone calls

· Meet and greet patients and visitors

· Providing professional and courteous customer service in person and over the phone to patients and health professionals

· Scheduling appointments and efficient management of all patient data, clinical files, correspondence and accounts

· Ensuring patient flow is smooth and managing the waiting room

· Providing ongoing support to all GPs, allied health professionals, staff & visitors in a courteous and efficient manner

· Issue patient’s invoices/receipts and attend to account queries

· End of day banking reconciliation

· Opening and closing the clinic

· General housekeeping duties

Essential requirements for our ideal candidate:

· Previous Medical Reception experience

· Competency in use of computers AND software applications: Windows, Medical Director and PracSoft

· Ability to work in a fast paced and ever changing environment.

· Ability to work a rotating roster Monday to Friday including evenings to 7.15pm and alternate Saturday mornings

· Capability of working independently and in a team, with a positive can-do attitude

· Great time management skills, approachable, reliable and honest. Not easily flustered!
