About the Role
This role provides essential administrative and customer service support, helping to manage correspondence, coordinate briefings, and respond to public enquiries. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery and compliance with public sector protocols.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling ministerial and agency correspondence, public enquiries, and briefing documents
- Registering, tracking, and preparing responses to routine requests from stakeholders and the general public
- Providing first-level assistance to phone and email enquiries, escalating complex matters to the appropriate team or agency
- Supporting project coordination, quality assurance activities, and reporting tasks
- Assisting with the collation of information from various teams for effective service delivery
- Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience working in a government or public service environment
- Strong administrative and customer service skills across written and phone communication
- High attention to detail and accuracy, especially with data entry and record-keeping
- Ability to prioritise work effectively under pressure and meet competing deadlines
- Familiarity with public sector processes and the handling of confidential or sensitive correspondence
- A collaborative approach with a focus on team contribution and quality service delivery
