Upspec Steel Buildings is seeking a capable and experienced Part-Time Construction Project Manager to oversee the delivery of high-quality steel building projects across the Sydney region. Our builds range from large commercial warehouses developments, Government projects and rural machinery sheds to custom residential structures. We’re licensed builders, and we manage the lot: design, approvals, supply, trades, concrete, and construction.

Based in Penrith, this is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll work closely with our Director, General Manager, construction crew, and clients to ensure jobs are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard. You’ll also be backed by a small but efficient office and admin team who’ll assist with scheduling, documentation, and day-to-day client communication.

This role offers a flexible part-time arrangement (2–3 days per week), ideal for someone looking to stay active in the industry while maintaining work-life balance.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Overseeing multiple active job sites and managing construction timelines & budgets

Coordinating trades, subcontractors, deliveries, and materials

Working with engineers, certifiers, suppliers, and clients across all stages

Conducting site visits and resolving issues as they arise

Ensuring WHS compliance, build quality, and adherence to plans

We're after someone with solid construction experience—at least 3 years in a similar project management role—who can confidently juggle projects and make smart, on-the-ground decisions. A trade background or building qualifications are preferred, and a builder’s licence would be a bonus. You’ll need your own transport and a current driver’s licence as site travel is a key part of the role.
