About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Manager and Managing Partner of the Workers' Compensation team, this position is responsible for managing a portfolio of claims and delivering practical legal advice and case strategy. The aim: to achieve safe, durable, and timely return-to-work outcomes for injured workers, in line with legislative obligations.

Making liability determinations and ongoing reviews of claims
Providing expert legal and policy advice in accordance with legislation
Liaising with workers, managers, medical providers, and rehabilitation services
Representing the organisation in disputes, conciliations, and hearings
Developing and maintaining strategic rehabilitation and return-to-work plans
Drafting court documents, legal correspondence, and strategic recommendations
Leading legal research and interpretation on complex statutory issues
Mentoring junior team members and contributing to a knowledge-sharing culture

2–7 years PQE in workers’ compensation, employment, insurance, or administrative law
Accreditation or experience managing claims under the SRC Act or similar framework
Strong legal research, drafting, and stakeholder management skills

A team-oriented, values-driven mindset with a passion for making a difference
What’s on Offer

Genuinely flexible hybrid work arrangements
No billable targets
A collegiate and high-performing team environment
Ongoing in-house training, health & wellbeing programs, and regular team events
An opportunity to make a real impact in people’s lives
