Key Responsibilities:

Estimating: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for fencing projects based on customer requirements, site conditions, and company pricing guidelines. Analyse project specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings to develop comprehensive quotes. Collaborate with the operations and procurement teams to ensure estimates align with material availability and labour costs.

Sales: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, providing excellent customer service and support. Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to prospective customers. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase market share.

Site Measures: Conduct on-site visits to measure and assess project requirements accurately. Document and communicate all site-specific details, constraints, and measurements to relevant stakeholders. Ensure site assessments align with customer expectations and project specifications.

Collaboration: Work closely with the project management team to ensure smooth handovers from sales to execution. Provide feedback to the marketing team regarding market trends and customer preferences.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in sales and/or estimating, preferably in the fencing or construction industry.

Strong understanding of cost estimation processes, including material and labour components.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Proficiency in general computer skills, including the ability to effectively use relevant software and tools for estimating, reporting, and communication.

Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.

Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
