About the role

As the Social Media & Customer Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for the content development, maintenance and performance of all social media profiles under the Big Dog portfolio of brands. This includes content ideation and creation, copywriting, community management, influencer program management, promotional campaigns and product launches. At Big Dog, we put the 'care' in Customer Care; pet parents come to us seeking advice and guidance on raw feeding and your duty is to become the expert in this subject matter, responding to queries across all consumer touchpoints including online, phone and in-person. You’ll love that our brand voice is nurturing with a touch of fun. You won’t be horrified to learn that most of us let our dogs sleep in our bed.

About you

You are an enthusiastic, engaging and clear communicator that thrives in a team environment but can also work autonomously, driven by your initiative, purpose, a sense of curiosity and desire to learn.

You must be confident, self-driven and collaborative by nature as working with stakeholders and colleagues across all departments is crucial for your success in this role with our social media presence the beating heart of Big Dog.

Knowledge of or experience in the pet food industry and raw feeding would be highly advantageous, but not critical.

A positive attitude and commitment to living by our company values of Excellence, Teamwork and Fun is essential.

2-3 years’ demonstrated experience in a similar role.

Advanced written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.

Professional phone manner coupled with outstanding customer service skills.

Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and handle competing deadlines.
