YOUR NEW ROLE
In this KEY VIP (very important person) leadership role leading the firm’s prized WILLS/ESTATES LAW practice, reporting to the CEO+ a Senior Partner, you will relish the autonomy+ variety +satisfaction of your 3 dimensional role:

leading/mentoring/training/performance managing your team of 4 (lawyers+paralegal/assistants).

hands-on managing a small number of your own personal files (largely high-end/complex) solving all types of interesting & complex succession law issues acting for high-end/sophisticated clients primarily focused on advisory/transactions across a full-spectrum of:

1) Wills/POAs/estate/succession planning issues, testamentary trusts/asset protection (including incidental tax/superannuation issues);

2) Probate and administration of estates.

ALSO, if you desire & have relevant litigation experience, also opportunity to engage in some contested wills/estates litigation (Family Provision Act claims).

partaking in business development/marketing to further grow the practice with full support from the senior executive partners.

WHO YOU ARE

We are interested in hearing from you if you:

are admitted as a lawyer in NSW+ have minimum 6 years post-admission experience or MORE (senior associate/special counsel/partner level) practising in wills/estates law (estate planning + estate administration (essential) and estates litigation-preferable not essential) with reputable firms/in-house;

are preferably (not essential): 1) an ACCREDITED SPECIALIST in succession law and/or: 2) have attained/studying a Graduate Diploma of Applied Law (Wills and Estates) or Master of Laws specializing in Wills/Estates.

have proven people/leadership/client management + time prioritisation skills;

are results-focused, proactive + have a strong commercial acumen+ entrepreneurial mind-set;

enjoy building relationships/networking and have had some business development/marketing experience (preferable or if none a desire to do so with full support);

are ambitious and seeking a long-term ‘legal home’ with a premier firm where you can grow+advance.
