MIRRA is a family owned business located in the heart of the Fortitude Valley featuring a stunning converted industrial warehouse venue. The venue boasts unique décor including midnight mosaic tiles, vaulted ceilings draped in fairy lights and an industrial-inspired courtyard.

We are currently seeking an incredibly talented and passionate Venue Sales and Events Manager to join our team.

Venue Sales & Events Manager:

This is a full-time on-site role for a Venue Sales and Events Manager who will be responsible for managing all aspects of the venue sales, event operations, managing staff, coordinating external vendors whilst working closely with the events team to ensure successful event outcomes. The role involves hands-on involvement in setting up and running events to create great memorable experiences.

Responsibilities:

Sell, plan, organise, and execute a wide range of events

Coordinate conferences and events from initial enquiry through to execution and follow-up, ensuring all requirements are communicated.

Ability to work autonomously and can self motivate to achieve role milestones

Continually build Client Relationships through managing and nurture relationships with agencies, partners, and returning clients

Develop and implement sales/marketing strategies to promote events and attract new clients

Negotiate with vendors, and oversee event logistics

Utilize various marketing channels, including social media, email, and content creation to drive enquiries

Requirements:

Minimum 2-3 years proven experience in event coordination and sales, preferably in the events/hospitality industry

Experience in Customer Service and Event Planning

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Creative thinking and problem-solving skills

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality

Availability to start as soon as possible

Event Management/Hospitality qualifications highly regarded

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as events require

Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification required

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and event management software

Must have valid working rights in Australia
